Biography

Luca Ricci was born in Cesena in 1999, and studied at Maderna-Lettimi and Giovan Battista Martini conservatories.
There, he learned composition, wrote music for various ensembles, and refined his compositional techniques, graduating Cum Laude in 2024 in Classical Composition.

His music is a unique mix of emotional, intimate, meditative and classical orchestral timbres, infused with fascinations from traditional Japanese music and debussyan soundscapes.

He made his debut in Bologna with his orchestral work "t" (2023).
Since then, he wrote music ranging from full orchestral works ("t", "Ainulindale", "Alla Luna") to chamber music ("Il dono dell'acqua", "La vita è un sogno, un'illusione") and solistic music ("Deserto", "Haiku I, II, III").
He also won several prizes, such as "Premio Felice e Luigi Magone" in Bologna with "Fur segni forse de la tua partita" for chamber ensemble.

Since 2018, his passion for videogames and movies guided him in his journey,
composing music for various indie games ("Kiubi", "FBI Open Up!", "CTRL-U", "Joyful Masks") and working as an orchestrator and sound designer ("The Invisible Girl", "Al progredire della notte"), working towards the goal of Audio Direction and composing music for videogames.

His skills ranges from music composition for all types of ensembles (from the solo instrument to orchestra), to synthestration and middleware implementation (both Wwise by Audiokinetic and FMod) in both Unity3D and Unreal Engine 4 and 5.
